"Kagenui no jutsu" - Ninja art of shadow-stitching This is a technique where the ninja 'stitches' an enemy's shadow to the ground using a shuriken (throwing star) or a kunai (ninja knife), rendering them immobile by the power of suggestion. This roots the enemy to the spot and prevents them from attacking. "Kuchiyose no jutsu" - Ninja art of spiritualism/necromancy This is a technique where a ninja summons animals to help him fight the enemy. This technique was famously used by the (fictional) ninja character Jiraiya, who called upon a giant toad in battle.
Both of these are fanciful techniques, only found in fictional accounts. Essentially, ninja techniques were used in secret information activities (intelligence gathering) and deceptive plotting (tactics used to weaken an enemy's fighting power). Ninja techniques using shuriken or farming tools as a means of self-defence were passed on through generations of ninja, but "secret ninja fighting techniques" are only really found in manga or dramas.
