Taisoufuku' refers to the uniform to be worn during physical education lessons, as designated by the school. In summer it comprises a shirt and gym shorts (or longer, knee-length shorts), in winter a tracksuit top and bottoms. Onto this the student attaches a piece of cloth, like a racing number, upon which is written their school year, class and name. After graduation, the tracksuit comes in handy as roomwear for around the house.
